Approach:

Caroline’s approach to therapy focuses on the clients’ relationship with themselves. Empowering and strength-based in nature, the journey for the client begins with what they are doing right, versus focusing on what they are doing wrong. This involves a collaborative client-therapist relationship where encouragement and guidance helps the client live a life worth living. Caroline uses an integrative blend of theories, and incorporates DBT into her work with clients. DBT can help clients understand how to tolerate distressful emotions, improve their relationships with others, regulate painful emotions, and practice mindfulness. All of these skills are taught in a manner that is empowering for the client.
