Jim Harris, MSW, L.C.S.W.
Credentials and Professional Experience:
Jim Harris is a clinical social worker providing child, adolescent, adult, and couples therapy. His clinical training was at the University of Georgia, where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work. He also has a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Texas, where his graduate focus was on business and social policy planning. Jim is a member of the National Association of Social Work and has been in private clinical practice since 1989. Jim has worked with clients of all ages in both out-patient and in-patient settings.
Approach:
Jim works with his clients on developing goals and a therapy process that meets each individual’s needs. Issues addressed can range from concrete problem solving to longer-range individual growth and change. Time spent in therapy and ways to work on issues are developed between the client and therapist. Jim focuses with his clients on what would be the best strategy to address both short-term and longer-term goals. Jim believes that psychotherapy is a developmental process that helps all of us grow and create new ways to improve our daily lives and relationships. Jim also utilizes his business background to help clients with work and financial issues, along with business and career development coaching.
