Approach:

Lane is an Adlerian psychotherapist who works with clients to achieve a conscious understanding of process. She uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavior Modification (CBM), traditional psychoanalysis, and Imago therapy to help her clients to change what they want to change about their lives and relationships. Although fluent in several methodologies, she tries to enlist as many of her clients’ individual strengths as possible in order to facilitate their healing process.

Areas of Expertise:

Lane’s areas of specialization include life changes, couples and their relationships, addiction, dual diagnosis, depression and mood disorders, stress management, crisis, and trauma. She writes about her group practice in “Through the Looking Glass: The Facilitation of Mirroring in Group Process” which appeared in the September, 2008 issue of The Journal for Specialists in Group Work. This article examines the power of group process in treating addictions and other mental health diagnoses. A recent article, “They Can Do It, and You Can Help: Teaching Children About Personal Process” will be featured in the November/December issue of The Mother magazine which, published in the United Kingdom, is read in over 40 countries worldwide.

A Personal Statement:

“I believe in you. I trust you to do your inner work, to go on your life’s journey, to become the person you intend to be. There is no problem that you cannot solve; and I will be happy to assist you in that process.”
