Psychoeducational Group for Caregivers of Children on the Autism Spectrum

Helping caregivers develop strategies to increase appropriate behavior and enhance their child’s learning

Participants will:

• learn how to better understand the function or purpose behind problematic behaviors
• learn reinforcement-based strategies for increasing appropriate behaviors
• learn prompting methods for teaching life and academic skills
• learn parent-child interaction strategies
• learn ways to use visual aids as helpful tools for children with ASD
• learn strategies for use in prevention of maladaptive behaviors
• learn how basic behavioral data tracking can be used in the home

Caregivers may include parents, grandparents, or any individuals caring for a child with ASD.

Consists of 6 sessions

When:  Saturdays from 1:30-2:30pm or Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm
