Psychoeducational Group for Caregivers of Children on the Autism Spectrum
Helping caregivers develop strategies to increase appropriate behavior and enhance their child’s learning
Participants will:
- learn how to better understand the function or purpose behind problematic behaviors
- learn reinforcement-based strategies for increasing appropriate behaviors
- learn prompting methods for teaching life and academic skills
- learn parent-child interaction strategies
- learn ways to use visual aids as helpful tools for children with ASD
- learn strategies for use in prevention of maladaptive behaviors
- learn how basic behavioral data tracking can be used in the home
Caregivers may include parents, grandparents, or any individuals caring for a child with ASD.

Consists of 6 sessions
When: Saturdays from 1:30-2:30pm or Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm
